polymer clay bracelet charms

Hello! I made a few polymer clay charms and came up with these bracelets.
I made some mini dead man's party charms. Each one is painted with a white skeleton on one side and a pink skeleton on the other.
Rubber duckies hold a special place for the child in all of us. I love the way this bracelet came out.
These next two  bracelets were special orders for some friends. This one is "Paris the pit" who  is famous for her heart shaped nose.
And this is Sophie the chihuahua. She was a challenge so I am so happy that it came out! The customer was so pleased. There is no feeling like when you see someone so happy with your work.
Sculpting is such a wonderful challenge. I love the way you see things slowly starting to take form.
Which do you like best?
Any suggestions?

Till next time...

Life is a Zoo!

Hello! Today I was feeling a bit wild. I focused on stretch cord bracelets and had fun with an animal print theme.
This bracelet reminds me of a leopard with the spots on the smaller wood beads. I made a blue wire spiral as the focal point.
I am sure this pink and black zebra bracelet will not last very long at the sale!
The markings on these beads also remind me of a zebra's stripes. I partnered it with burgandy and silver glass beads for a slightly more elegant feel.
Never judge a cheetah by it's spots. I like the neutral browns of this one.
And another fun cheetah styled bracelet. This time partnered with bright and creamy oranges.
I know the ladies will go wild for these at the sale!
It's just around the corner now.

Till then...

turtle skull charms

Hello! Today I played in the skull theme again and made these turtle skulls. I made a mold so I can make them in any color and make them earrings, bracelets, and rings.
I have seen so many types of skulls but never any designed after a turtle.
what do you think?

wire wrapped earrings and pendants

Hello! Today there was no stopping these creative juices from flowing!
My head hurts! My eyes hurt! And my fingers hurt!
But I am so pleased with today's projects. I stuck to wire wrapping and made some earrings and pendants.

I had a lot of fun designing these. I want to make more tomorrow... if I'm not still hurting.
Till then...

Horror Movie Mania! o0o0ooo00oo

Hello! I have been watching too many scary movies lately. They have inspired a the darker side and I designed a few spooky pieces.
I am working on perfecting making skull beads. These pieces are all simple designs.
This bracelet reflects a dream I had of an old time store mannequin. The kind whose face is meant to be bright and cheeful but turns out scary.
I then made this ring of an angry skull.
Last I made this green skull ring. It is very similar to my day of the dead ring I made a bit ago. For this ring I used some of my black rose beads for the eyes.
I really dig these zombie bear earrings I whipped up. Complete with bones and guts.
I was aiming to make another pair of zombie earrings, but I got so carried away and lost in the creativity of the moment that I made a 3 piece scene. These will have to be ornaments or pendants now. They should remind you to ALWAYS AIM FOR THE HEAD! because if you shoot a zombie in it's guts you may end up dead like this poor guy. And then your lady friend will have to try to save herself...

what will inspire me next?
until then...

great news leads to fun jewelry

I got some great news today! I entered a Valentine's Day Challenge by submitting a tutorial   "how-to make Crimson Heart Earrings" on instructables.com. (The voting is open until February 21, I would appreciate if you stopped by to vote for me.)
Well I was received a message yesterday saying my post became an editor's pick and I was awarded 3 months of "pro" membership access to the site. Just when I thought that was cool, I was contacted by the president of the site today notifying me that my post was chosen to be featured on the homepage and was awarded an additional year of "pro" membership access.

Well! I was so excited and inspired! I went right away to my crafting table and made 2 pairs of earrings.
I have always loved anything banana flavored! Now I have these awesome banana earrings
and check out these goldfish earrings! you can't help but smile and maybe even sing when you see these
 thanks for the support!
