long time no talk

Hello! I apologize for another long time away from blogging. Things have been crazy here and I just have not  had time. But the good thing about being so busy is that everyone likes my art.

I have been setting up shop at the new I-10 fleamarket and fair and my art has been flying off the wall. I have even had some custom orders.

I have also started making 3D magnets. This is my first one. Any suggestions on what to name her?

I realized in my last post I posted my dancing couple separate and wanted to post this picture of them next to each other so you can see the full image proper.

I am still working hard on the jewelry and polymer clay! I will post updates on those creations soon.

polymer clay bracelet charms

Hello! I made a few polymer clay charms and came up with these bracelets.

I made some mini dead man's party charms. Each one is painted with a white skeleton on one side and a pink skeleton on the other.

 Rubber duckies hold a special place for the child in all of us. I love the way this bracelet came out.

These next two  bracelets were special orders for some friends. This one is "Paris the pit" who  is famous for her heart shaped nose.

 And this is Sophie the chihuahua. She was a challenge so I am so happy that it came out! The customer was so pleased. There is no feeling like when you see someone so happy with your work.

 Sculpting is such a wonderful challenge. I love the way you see things slowly starting to take form.

Manly rings

The other night I saw "Making Monsters" for the first time. It was the episode where they had an order for aliens and a UFO for the Roswell Museum. It was so amazing to see the artist sculpting on a bigger scale and using some of the same tools and products as myself. I was so inspired!

I have a friend who likes all things sci-fi. I decided to take a stab at my own little alien. I made a ring I know he would still feel "manly" wearing.

He also likes Day of the Dead themes so I made this Dia de Los Muertos skull ring. I love the way the ruby red eyes pop!

 Best part is it glows in the dark!

He was suprised and did like both rings.

I am always on the lookout for new challenges and new sources of inspiration!

Welcome to my world... starting with earrings good enough to eat

Hello there! Let's begin with an introduction to me and my creations. My name is Chaz and I love creating! My whole life I have been involved in art. When I was younger I did a bit of ceramics and pottery. I feel like starting ceramics again once I get a kiln. I also have done quite a bit of painting and photography.

My current obsession is jewelry making. I started making wire wrapped rings and then progressed to earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. I then began using polymer clay to design and create completely from the ground up.

Here are some earrings I have designed all themed around yummy food I love

these cherries were an instant hit! I am sure when I get my etsy store opened that these will sell quickly.

 i had alot of fun designing these waffles. they were my first project using liquid clay and i am qute pleased

 mmmm mmm! cinnamon rolls! these are my latest creation and second time playing with the liquid clay

 this sushi was time consuming but not very hard. next time i want to get more texture. 

 i am very proud of the detail in these tacos! meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomato

 i made these ding dongs using a mold made from mini reese's cups and my clay extruder

 i had a request for pizza and came out with these. i made a full round pizza then cute 8 slices for 4 sets of earrings

 here are my hot dog and hamburger set. more fun details!

 next we have eggs and bacon. if you have 2 piercings you can have an egg and bacon strip on each ear. if you have 1 piercing and still want to mix it up, you can wear an egg in one ear and bacon in the other

These cupcake earrings were a special order based on my niece's business card. Initially I struggled with trying to get the right design for the swirly frosting. After a few tries I came out with these. She loves them!
